The Basics

Sticking to a shoestring budget? Our budget plan is designed for travellers who want coverage for all the important things, like hospital bills and stolen luggage, without breaking the bank.

Annual

Are you a frequent flyer? If you travel often for business, or have a few holidays coming up, our Annual Multi Trip plan could be for you. Made for globetrotters, your trips can be up to 35 days in duration and there is no limit to the number of trip you can take during a 12 month period.

Am I covered for Coronavirus (COVID-19)?

All international TID policies include cover for overseas medical expenses. Depending on the level of cover you choose, there may also be cover available for some other Coronavirus-related events. It is explained in more detail here.

If severe weather caused my flight in Egypt to be cancelled, am I covered?

Yes, cover is available under each of our policies - The Works, The Basics and Annual Multi Trip Plans - for the cost of reasonable additional airfares and accommodation due to severe weather, if you have to rearrange your holiday in Egypt. It’s always wise to read the policy fine print, which can be found in the PDS and be sure to remain informed about up to the moment travel alerts and, of course, Smartraveller.

Does my policy cover me for terrorism?

There are certain things, such as emergency medical expenses, that your policy offers cover for should you become a victim of a terror attack. TID offers cover for emergency medical expenses under the Comprehensive and Annual Multi Trip policies. However, trip cancellation and rearrangement because of a terror attack is not covered by the policy. 

Where do I stand if I’m pickpocketed or mugged?

Should you become a victim of pick pocketing or a mugging, report it to the local authorities and contact our specialist Emergency Assistance team who can provide emergency medical help or offer guidance on contacting your embassy if your passport has gone missing.
