TID considers a travelling party as: ‘you and any travelling companion who has made arrangements to accompany you for at least 50% of the duration of your trip.’ You must tell us as soon as possible if anything changes in terms of travel plans and circumstances related to a travelling party, as it may affect your coverage especially if you intend to make a claim. Notable policy restrictions Need emergency assistance? Most of us have heard the term Personal Liability, but perhaps never really understood the full extent of what it actually meant. At Travel Insurance Direct, we’re all about educating and supporting our policyholders, so it’s important to us that you are informed every step of the way. Personal liability is the coverage for legal liability in the event of someone taking out a legal claim against an insured. Policyholders have cover available for this benefit under TID’s The Works, The Basics and the Annual Multi Trip plans (limits apply). Cover may apply for costs incurred due to loss or damage to property due to insured's negligence.
