  • If you want to upload documentation and receipts that are in email format, you will need to either: Convert them to PDF; or Screenshot a copy of the email. Converting to PDFTo do to create PDF copies of your emails, follow these steps: Open the email Select 'Print' But instead of printing, click Save as PDF; It should then prompt you to save the file to a location on your computer. Converting to an Image If you can't convert the email to a PDF, screenshot the emails from your device, print out the emails and scan them or snap photos of them with your phone. Note: if what you are trying to upload is an attachment to an email (rather than the body of the email itself), it will normally already be in PDF format.   • Once you've started your claim online and entered your expenses, you will have received an email from us telling us what documents you need to submit with your claim. Once you have gathered all your documents, you need to log in to your online account and upload them. To do this, they must be digital copies. Where you already have existing digital copies In many cases such as e-tickets you may already have electronics copies (PDF files) that are likely to be stored in your email somewhere. Find them and save them for when you are ready to upload. The best way to find out exactly what documents we do need in your specific circumstances is to start an online claim.   • How long will it take once my claim is submitted?
  • Most avid travellers are aware that an insurance policy, whether it be The Works, The Basics and the Annual Multi Trip plans can be as important as a passport as it offers coverage should those best-laid holiday plans get thrown in disarray. Claims can be submitted online via the My Account portal. Once your claim is submitted together with all the documentation requested, you will receive an email from us with your Claim Number - this is normally within the first two business days, but it can take a little longer during our busier season. We know that claiming on your travel insurance policy can be daunting, which is why we have outlined exactly what you must do in the event of a claim or accident in each of our policy’s Product Disclosure Statement. Saving your claim To make the process easier on travellers, you can save your claim throughout the journey. As you progress through the claim, it automatically saves as you are going along.   • What if I don’t have some documents needed for a claim?
  • If you're completing your claim online, and you don't have all the documents we requested from you, don't panic! Sometimes, despite your best efforts, it's just not possible to get them. Here's what to do. If you've lost (or don't have) a receipt: Provide us with a Credit Card statement that shows the purchase of the item. Provide a warranty for the item or any other documentation you might have which confirms your ownership of the particular item. Ask the store you purchased the item from to provide you with a copy of the purchase receipt.   • When I upload digital documents, what formats do you accept?
  • If you are uploading electronic copies of documents, receipts and invoices to online claims, we accept the following file formats: For Images & Photographs JPG PNG For documents PDF (Portable Document Format; Adobe Acrobat) *A 'File Format' refers to the way that the content of an image or a document is stored on your computer. It is determined by the three or four letters at the end of the name, the ones that follow on from the full stop. The one most people are familiar with is '.doc' or '.docx' - which is the standard file format for Microsoft Word documents. Remember Photograph each page separately. Documents, images, and photographs must be no larger than 20Mb each. Check the quality of the image and make sure we can read them. more

You will be taken straight to the Documents page, ready to upload your documents. The Documents page lists all of the documents we have requested.
